Scuffers Hoodie Care & Wash Guide

A genuine scuffers hoodie is built to last — but only if you treat it right. Heavy fleece and premium construction respond badly to high heat and harsh detergents. Follow this guide and your hoodie will hold its shape and colour wash after wash.

Washing: Temperature and Settings

Always wash your scuffers hoodie at 30°C or cold. Hot water causes the fleece to shrink and the colour to bleed, especially on darker colourways. Use the gentle or delicate cycle — not the standard cotton cycle — to protect the knit structure.

Detergent Matters

Use a colour-safe, mild detergent. Avoid fabric softener on fleece garments: it coats the fibres and breaks down the texture over time. For whites and light tones from the scuffers hoodie range, use an oxygen-based brightener rather than bleach.

Drying Your Scuffers Hoodie

Air-dry flat where possible. If you use a tumble dryer, run it on the lowest heat setting and remove the scuffers hoodie slightly damp — let it finish drying at room temperature. High heat is the fastest way to shrink the body and warp the hood shape.

Storage and Maintenance

Fold, don't hang. Hanging a heavy fleece hoodie on a hanger stretches the shoulder seams over time. Store folded in a drawer or on a shelf. For pilling on the cuffs and hem, a fabric shaver removes bobbles in minutes and returns the surface to its original clean finish.
